Kelly Robbins
Kelly Robbins is the reigning Mrs. Canada International 2008. As a member of the Canadian Obesity Network, Kelly is an advocate for the education and prevention of childhood obesity.
To combat this growing epidemic Kelly has launched the Ambassadors For Life program in Canadian schools. Ambassadors, is a program designed to tackle the issue of childhood obesity at a grassroots level, among the children themselves. Kelly volunteers time speaking at schools, encouraging children to embrace healthy lifestyles, and appointing student ambassadors, who will continue to spread the message among their peers. She also teaches fitness classes at schools using her fun and crazy style to help children see that exercise can be fun. Her first childrens book on healthy eating (Slug and Speedy on Race Day) will be published this summer. Kelly also volunteers time with HOPE Worldwide, an international charity bringing hope and changing lives around the globe.
Kelly is a certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant as well as an Emotional Fitness Coach and a group fitness instructor. She is the founder and owner of Losin’ It, a weight loss and nutrition clinic in
Kelly is the current Mrs. Calgary, and was recently nominated for Business in Calgary’s Leaders of Tomorrow Award. She has been married to her husband Jamie for 15 years and together they have three children.
